Origin: Caucasus
Botanical characteristics:Perfectly conical shaped evergreen conifer that can reach 25 mt in height. The branches are arranged in whorl on the trunk and leaves from the ground.  The leaves are thick and lush, the needles of a bright green, silvery on the underside. Cones erect, 15 cm long, very decorative, from green to purplish brown at maturity.
Agronomic-environmental characteristics: It prefers rich, well-drained soils, tolerates limestone.
Use: Ornamental plant for use in isolation or in groups in large parks; in Europe it is used as Christmas Tree.
