Botanical characteristics: It is an evergreen conifer, with a conical to columnar growth habit. It has very small, scale-shaped, shiny green leaves, very fragrant and close to the twigs. It is a monoecious plant with male and female inflorescences separated but on the same plant. The female cones are composed of small scales.
